Banchan uses a gamified learning system with XP points and streaks to help you build your Korean food knowledge over time. Complete daily lessons, scan dishes, and interact with Chef Minji to earn XP and maintain your streak.

Yes! Banchan can help you discover Korean restaurants nearby. You'll need to grant location access when prompted. Your location is used only for real-time restaurant search and is never stored or tracked.

Is the AI information accurate for food allergies?

Banchan's AI provides general ingredient and allergen information for educational purposes, but it should not be relied upon for allergy-critical decisions. Always verify allergen information directly with the restaurant or check product packaging. Consult a healthcare professional for serious dietary concerns.

How do I restore my subscription?

Open Banchan, go to the paywall screen, and tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom. This will restore any active subscription linked to your Apple ID.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Banchan, and tap "Cancel Subscription." You can also manage subscriptions via the App Store app.

How do I delete my account?

Open Banchan, go to Settings (gear icon), and tap "Delete Account." This will permanently delete all your data including learning progress, saved restaurants, recipes, scan history, and profile information.

Is my data safe?
