Universal AI LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the Cooked mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account using Apple Sign-In, we receive your name and email (or a relay email if you choose to hide it).

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the app, including coaching sessions, feature usage, and app interactions to improve our service.

User Content: Messages, screenshots, and text you submit for AI coaching analysis. This content is processed by OpenAI's API to provide coaching responses.

Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered texting coaching through OpenAI's GPT-4 API
• To personalize your coaching experience based on your preferences and quiz results
• To track your progress, streaks, achievements, and skill levels
• To process subscription payments through Apple's In-App Purchase system
• To send push notifications (daily tips, streak reminders) if you opt in
• To improve and develop new features

3. AI Data Processing

Cooked uses OpenAI's API to power its coaching features. When you use AI coaching:

• Your messages and screenshots are sent to OpenAI for processing
• OpenAI may process text, images, and conversation context
• OpenAI's data usage is governed by their API Data Usage Policy
• We do not use your data to train AI models

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Your authentication is handled through Apple Sign-In with secure token storage.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• OpenAI: To process AI coaching requests
• Apple: For subscription payment processing
• RevenueCat: For subscription management
• Supabase: For secure data storage

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app's Settings page. Upon deletion, we remove your data within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Export your data (available in Settings)
• Delete your account and all data
• Opt out of push notifications

8. GDPR (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Legal Basis: We process your data based on your consent (provided during onboarding) and our legitimate interest in providing AI coaching services.
• Right to Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to Object: Object to processing of your personal data.
• Right to Restrict Processing: Request that we limit how we use your data.

9. CCPA (California Users)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights:

• Right to Delete: You can request that we delete your personal information. Use the "Delete Account" option in the app or email us.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

Categories of data collected: Identifiers (name, email via Apple Sign-In), usage data (coaching sessions, feature interactions), and user-generated content (messages, screenshots submitted for AI analysis).

Purpose of collection: To provide AI-powered coaching services and improve the app experience.

10. Children's Privacy

Cooked is rated 17+ and is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. The app includes an age verification gate during onboarding.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date.
